Nordic Nature Babes - Logo and Website
It started with a rather lengthy project in my second semester of community college. The goal of our project was to create a fake business based on a very specific industry, starting with a logo and eventually developing an advertisement and ticket stub designs for an event hosted by the business. I decided to take things even further by later creating an entire website based around said fake business. And thus, Nordic Nature Babes was born. The site still exists, although, sadly, if you're looking for genuine cross-country skiing experiences, you need to keep looking since nothing about NNB is actually real. I did my best to make a convincing organization, and at the same time it was my first experience using Wix as a site-building and hosting platform. I was pretty pleased with the results.
It was also quite the exercise in trying to write copy - making a fake business from scratch was a little tougher than I expected. To make the site feel more authentic and more closely mirror what a real organization might look like, I wrote small blurbs for articles, created fake event listings, and even wrote a fictitious backstory about a woman who wanted to escape her boring office life and became a veritable goddess of cross-country skiing.
This was probably my biggest deep dive into stock photography. Ever. I had to look up so many pictures of girls in the snow.
